Document upload could have been smoother

I would have rated this higher but it was rather painful entering the activity from my trading bot. There was a lot of transactions and the document upload/translation did not go smoothly. While it did upload every transaction I had to manually go in and enter information that was already present on the form for hundreds of transactions. I would ask that for next year try to smooth that experience out.

Not as good as the desk top version!!

The on-line version is not nearly as good and easy as the desk top version was. there are a few serious glitches that cost a lot of extra time and frustration in getting through the filing process. My confidence in accuracy is deeply shaken. I don't agree with your standard deduction versus itemized evaluation and result. This was overall a negative experience over the desk top version and certainly NOT worth the cost increase!!

Painful to use

It is so annoying to enter data manually, there are no CSV or TXF import functionality. AI integration is very underwhelming. They use dark patterns to try and get your data.
Pros: My employment status changed this year, I bought or sold investments

Sneaky live expert assistance charge

Didn't like that it defaults to use expert assist premium (extra cost) when filing. I had to do research why the cost to file was higher than normal. Not happy with being forced to manually downgrade to remove the feature I didn't even sign up for. The worst part is that my daughter has already filed her return and paid extra. She didn't even know and use the assistance. Sneaky update to the software.
