Scam with dark patterns everywhere on the site.

The difference between me getting my taxes for free and for you charging me over $200 was something beyond my control. Robinhood auto-sold an investment because of a merger. and for a less than $10 "PROFIT" you jacked up your prices to more than 20% of my refund. Also the process was full of dark patterns. You hide or made hard to find options or selections not in your favor. I am really disgusted with your service this year. I will filling my taxes with another company next year.

TurboTax is Great and better than last year

It was the simplest return that I have done in a while.. The only piece that I had to correct were in the areas of Stock. I uploaded my Fidelity data to TurboTax and yet the Cost Basis was incorrect.. If the data is there and you have it, why did TurboTax get it wrong?

Unable to add a Schedule 1

Everything went well except we received a special NY state inflation refund of $400. When I investigated I was told to file a 1040 Schedule 1. But with this software I was not able to invoke a Schedule 1. I wasted at least 30 minutes and was not able to report the $400 state gift.

Predatory and Anti-consumer

I did not have a good time with Turbo Tax online. You no longer support Windows 10, so I had no choice but to go online. Intuit also does not support Linux (KDE) as this is my new OS. At every turn, I was upsold on one thing or another. And sold on things I did not want. For example, on the desktop, I can print and file my state separately. Online, I'm forced to pony up and additional $64 or else my state is deleted. The online experience is predatory and anti consumer. This will be the last time I use your software or services.
