Turbotax is the gold standard for UX wizard flows

It was a seamless intuitive experience. The definitions and extra info provided when needed adds extra benefits and understandings. Connecting to banks was very useful and easy. Importing info was accurate and seamless.

Allow Desktop version on Windows 10.

Get it together with K-1 Section 199A entries

The K-1 data entry was awful. Getting Section 199A information loaded correctly was not automated, and it took hours to get through that using multiple internet searches. Simply awful.

Turbo Tax has been my friend for many years.

I've used Turbo Tax for years (over 40, I think) and have found it to be easy to navigate and helpful when I have questions. This year my desktop is so dated that it couldn't support Windows11, so I was concerned that I might have to get a new computer, but Turbo Tax solved that problem by letting me complete and file on their secure website.

A Very Different Experience This Year!

This is the first year I've used TurboTax through MetLife Insurance access. It's way different than using an online download of the app. It lacks the ability to check forms, consult an expert (without adding a lot of cost), and accessing information in general. I've used TT for a very long time. It feels a bit naked not to have access to the actual app. But I have had messages from both MetLife and TT in response to my questions. Questions I had finally found answers to before getting their replies. This is literally the first year in many that I haven't been able to speak with someone at TT for help. Last year, there was a computational error in my return prepared by TT. Fortunately, it turned out to be in my favor, but there is a different number on file with the IRS due to the correction, but I couldn't figure out how to provide access to their corrected transcript. The number I input is the one submitted by TT for 2024.
