Does the job but is overpriced given the quality

TurboTax does the job, but it's overpriced and does very little to simplify our complex tax system. For example at the end of my return it said I needed to file my state tax return by mail because certain tax situations prevented e-filing, but neglected to state what said situation was. There were a variety of similar instances where it said I didn't quality for credits without explaining why.
