Turbo Tax You’Ve Lost a Long Time Customer

I have used Turbo Tax for over 20 years. Never again. This was the worst experience ever. It would not import my info from last year which forced me to enter every single detail in. It did not take me through the topics one by one, especially in deductions. It did not show me how to enter quarterly payments made and help was no help. The steps shown in help guided to pick certain options that did not exist. Also, schedule E has always been included in the Deluxe version. Btw; it said Schedule E would be created as I filled in the info; but it didn’t say you were going to cheat the customer to do so. Not this year. Forced to add $60 in order to legally file. Shame on you. I will be making complaints up the ladder and will contact state and federal officials over the deceit I would rather do it all by hand like the old days rather than deal with absolute chaos of this years version. Do better. You’ve lost a long time customer.

TurboTax Online is Good

Compatibility and interface were not as good as the desktop version. I could not easily go back to the previous screen to edit. I prefer having the previous year's return info side-by-side for comparison to ensure I don't omit any credits or deductions. The online version kept pausing, so it was not as fluid as the desktop. Lastly, TT Online does not provide the option to pay for filing with a credit card; it only offers a refund deduction.

TURBO TAX IS EASY

I HAVE USED TURBO TAX FOR THE PAST TEN YEARS AND THIS WAS FIRST YEAR USING ONLINE FORMAT DISK. WAS A LITTLE CONFUSING WHEN TRYING TO FIND ESTIMATED TAX PAYMENT THAT I MADE, BUT OTHERWISE EXCELLENT PRODUCT AND GREAT SUPPORT AND ANSWERS TO ANY QUESTIONS

BOO TURBO TAX

You asked me 6 times, 1 initially and 5 subsequent times, if I want to upgrade to Max. Absolutely unnecessary and a really sly way to trick people into opting into something they already decided on. It's cheap and pathetic. And on top of that, you're charging $139 for me to file my own taxes. BOO TURBO TAX!
