Good product, quality seems to be trending down

It seems like there are less and less features from previous years. The UI has also gotten worse and looks more clunky than before. Still a good automated service and worth using, but worse than it used to be.

Easy to use. You need to double check the information transferred in or auto-filled by their program. One of the amounts from my W-2 was incorrect. But otherwise, it was smooth, easy, and I finished faster than originally predicted.

Turbo tax has changed

It is not as user friendly as it used to be. Also, I believe I was over-charged because I didn't see some sneaky little box or button that was selected by default and therefore did not deselect it. Too many income situations which have never applied to me (using Turbo Tax for many years) and I'm still being asked. Numerous entries were flagged as needing review... when I clicked the review button and saw everything correct, Turbo Tax made a duplicate entry and still had a "needs review" button. Click "needs review" again and see all is correct... and yet another duplicate entry is made. I ended up deleting three @30k entries because of this. I liked last year's desktop version that was not as expensive and easier to use. Next year I may choose a different software.

Bug in online version

Believe there is a bug which caused the withheld social security payment to be seen as an estimated tax payment and a revised/corrected form 2210 was needed to electronically file. Deborah resolved the issue by having me delete the form 2210. Created a major waste of time for me, but Deborah was great.

The ability to import documents with an FIN or EIN or your login ensures accuracy.
