Comfortable updated interface, better than the older style that was just a step above an IRS form.

Watch out for dark patterns!

TurboTax is good at what it does. It handles complicated tax situations well, walks me through each step clearly, and explains what is happening. What I don't like at all, are the numerous "dark patterns" where it tries to trick you into upcharges or sharing information by making the consent look like a required step. The option to skip is usually buried somewhere, sometimes even inside a menu. That's no way to treat your customers!

Difficulty using capital asset sales worksheet

Had difficulty with reviewing and correcting errors identified in the Federal Review section, was difficult to find the form on which the error occurred, and subsequently make the correction.

Feeling scammed

I feel like I was scammed to pay for premium when I don't think I needed it. TurboTax makes it tricky on purpose to be able to tell which produce works best for me. I did not even know that filing free was an option for me until after I had submitted payment and realized it seemed very high. I would appreciate a partial refund for a product that more accurately aligns with what I actually needed to pay. I've been a customer for many years, and I'm really considering leaving TurboTax next year if this isn't at least addressed by someone.
