I've been doing income taxes with TurboTax for about 40 years and still come back each year.

Beware of upgrades and fees

Had to upgrade to file a single form that had no impact. Also that form took 30 mins cause there were "errors" but would not explain those errors. Then the fact that it tried to charge me out of the country fees when i live in the USA.

TurboTax is a scam

Absolutely horrible interface. The software is slow, the features aren't actually features. They use cute animations to make you feel like they're helping when in reality they're not. Expensive program for a complete waste of time. It would be quicker to submit taxes on my own and significantly cheaper.

Upsells every 4th screen, the AI is useless, asks you for information for tax breaks they should already know we don't qualify for.

Disappointed this year

I felt Turbo Tax was not as helpful this year as in years past. I used to be able to value donations of clothing and household items through the software, yet this year, I had to look up my own values online and just enter an amount. That was incredibly cumbersome! As self-employed, it missed prompts that I received in previous years to record quarterly tax payments I made - I had to seek out where to enter these. Very disappointed this year.

I think I have more difficult this year with Turbo Tax. I have used it for many years...and have to go back several times because information asked at the beginning was asked later and then it was like that I have to rental houses, 4 incomes for rental, not taxes to pay for them...
