all good but the bank charge at the end

All good except the fact that I now have to pay $35 to get it directly deposited to my bank acct as I have done for years. The choice to save to a credit Karma account for free an charge a person's personal acct seems to be trying to expand credit Karma's business and penalizing someone who has been a customer of turbotax for years.

I like using turbo Tax, However It's getting pricey. I can probably get someone to do my taxes for what I'm paying.

Relatively good experience

User friendly and relatively efficient. The time taken was reasonable. One suggestion is that you need to inform filers that if they have a 1099 along with a W2, that they can enter this 1099 information only by paying the extra fee and you need to state this upfront.

It made it easy for me by pre-filling information from my tax documents and by making all the calculations for me, and looking for possible tax refunds.

Would use again, but....

The program is easy to use but I had trouble getting back to the place that I needed to look at again to make changes. I did not have this issue with the CD version. Also, I wish there was a way to get a more definitive answer to questions. The AI suggestions on the side were good, but they did not address all issues and did not have the option to chat with or call anyone.

A New Experience

I've used TurboTax Desktop for years. I use TurboTax Premier for my taxes. My first choice is the desktop version of TurboTax. I had to use the online version this year because the downloadable version I purchased would not activate. I was surprised by how much more expensive it was for the online TurboTax Premier version from the desktop version, but I needed to get the taxes done and kept on trucking.
The online version didn't seem to be as intuitive as the desktop version. That could be my many years of desktop familiarity versus the first-time experience with the online version. It also confused me several times by taking me back to a section I thought was already completed. It may have been my unfamiliarity with the online version (highly likely) that caused my confusion navigating it.
It missed a few of my typos/mistakes and didn't report one of them (no state wages entered) until just before moving forward to file the taxes. The returns had been reviewed by TurboTax several times, but that one didn't trigger until just before filing.
I appreciated all the additional services you could purchase before starting, while completing the input, and other times throughout the experience. It became a little annoying, but there are probably many who appreciated the reminders.
I tried taking pictures of my various documents (W2, 1099-DIV, etc.) and uploading them into TurboTax. The instructions were not as clear as I needed. However, through the interface, I took 10 pictures. When I tried to upload/apply or whatever the next step was to get them into TurboTax, it said it failed, with no feedback--did I do something wrong, were the images unreadable, or what? It offered to let me try again, but not knowing what happened, I would have just done the same thing again and have another failure.
Other than first time online user's confusion, the experience was similar to the desktop version. I will probably go back to the desktop version and fix the activation problem.
