Feedback on several issues

Very surprised that the system did not prompt me to enter my healthcare information (1095-A) - if I hadn't known to do it there would have been a problem. I was also unable to enter a schedule M and/or make a subtraction from state income - that resulted in a tax burden higher than it should have been. Disappointed as I have been a TT user for years.

New Format - not so great.

I have been using Turbo Tax for years and I definitely do not care for the new format. It was hard to find where to enter items like itemized deductions and a place I could review individual forms as I entered things. I was not able to bring in my 2024 return so I had to reenter everything. The set up is not intuitive and found that it was frustrating not able to easily go to the section I wanted to work on.

Done In a Reasonable Time

Overall, it completed in a reasonable time. The document scan misread some fields and editing was not intuitive, but the help directions guided me to delete documents that were incorrect.

Happy, but it could have been better.

I really like TurboTax, but this year, it seemed a little more complicated to get answers to my questions and the answers I did get were unclear. When I spoke with customer service, they dropped my call during a transfer and it took nearly an hour to get a hold of someone again.

Tax filing simplified

Very easy step-by-step process. The help section is outstanding. One wish would be if you do the State return and find out that you don't have to file, TurboTax wouldn't charge you the $59.

First, they try to trick you into paying for a premium product that you most likely don't need... they got me the past 2 years, but I caught it this time before getting too far... then, i reviewed my federal like 5 times because it showed it was incomplete (using their review tool), then when i go to file, all the sudden it finds an error with my federal taxes... like, what is different from 5 min ago. I will likely go somewhere else next year that doesn't charge as much as i don't need their support features anyway.
