Turbo Tax Review

It started out a little rocky as it is different from what I am used to on the desktop, but all in all the experience was satisfactory. I felt that the explanations on the desktop version (e.g., standard deduction vs. itemization were a little easier to access and understand. I'm nervous how things will go next year if I end up getting a new desktop and can go back to that version. I am also unclear how to get a copy of my return, but I did save it when it asked for me to review.

Turbo Tax gets worse every year

Cant mass delete over 50 lines of 1099 line errors. I had to manually delete all lines, for the amount paid for service, it was a giant waste of time and the more help information was absolutely zero help.

Overall, I think TurboTax is easy to use. I have been using it for several years. If you use it consistently every year, the info from last year automatically transfers to the next year. The cost is a seems a little outrageous meaning, they will charge the same if you have a lot of investments or just a few. But, it is definitely more affordable than going to an accountant. Would love it if they would prorate the price or something for us middle class people with a few investments. I do like the snap a photo import feature. I am so glad that they got rid of the red (decrease/owe) and green (increase/refund) at the top of the screen this year. It was causing me anxiety in years past. What I really wish TurboTax could do is just automatically import reported income. And then all we have to do is check the numbers. The only thing we should be entering is non reported deductions and tax credits. This is wishful thinking. I just don't understand that if income is already reported, and attached to a social security number, why do we have to enter it again? Or log into another site to import it. I know the federal government would have to share the information but PLEASE TURBOTAX! DO SOMETHING! Lastly, I would like TurboTax to go back to checking a box for things that are relevant to my taxes so I could breeze through it faster. I mean... no, I don't own a farm, I am not a veteran, etc. But I have to answer all of these questions that don't pertain to me.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
