Overall easy to use.

I have used TurboTax to file our taxes for 30+ years.
This year I had to use the online version because my laptop has Windows 10.
I had trouble figuring out how to transfer last year's information in.

Average program/help I dont have the feeling Turbo tax offers anything special. It does enough to file.

This is the first time I used the online version. OMG it is buggy, I had to re-enter info over and over again, if I stepped away to take a break it would lose the info I had just entered. So I had to work nonstop for ~5 hours. Maybe it is OK for folks who have one source of income, but I have a pension, a side gig, investments, etc. Somehow it duplicated 1099-MISC forms, resulting in way too much income. Lucky I caught the error before filing. Next year I will pay extra for the desktop (download) version just like I did for the previous 19 or so years. The web and cloud is not the answer to everything....
Pros: My employment status changed this year, I bought or sold investments

My Return Seemed More Complex Than Last Year

It seemed this year's return was much more complicated than last years. but that may have been because I started Social Security among other life situations. Also, last year you provided one state return along with the Federal return, but this year the state return was an additional $59, so I opted to file the state return outside of Turbo Tax.

TurboTax Preview Feature Neded

Make this easier to preview before filing. I had a CPA review my self-filing documents and there was no easy way for me to show them how I filled out everything so far. The price point is also expensive for federal returns and CPAs are now charging a comparable fee to file it for you. I may consider going with a CPA in the future based on the rates.

I decided to try and do my taxes without a tax advisor after many years away from using Turbo Tax. The product has greatly improved and I found the help functions very helpful.
