Turbotax has run its course

I will be shopping around next year. The interface was unnecessarily cumbersome compared to years past. It was also incredibly glitchy when it came to new tax situations and often required me to back track to accomplish simple tasks. Even this survey is glitchy.

I don't have to worry about taxes until I log into my account, and the electronic transfers now make everything essentially foolproof

TurboTax wouldn't let me e-file a standard return

I tried filing electronically and had to request a support agent twice because it was rejected. 2nd agent explained it's a software issue related to my 1098 form for my home's mortgage interest. I know have to print 44 pages and file by mail. Very disappointed in the product experience this year.

Changing product levels is a huge inconvenience

Turbo tax guiding you through the process is great. Overpaying for what package you get based on last year is a joke. You should easily be able to change from premium to deluxe without rentering all of your forms. The form started in premium base on last year due to an additional form needed, since we didn’t need that form this year, TurboTax is a money grab and time waster for a convenience to a customer who has been returning for 10+ years!

Old way was better

I've used Turbo Tax for many years. The new online is very confusing and hard to use. Can't easily go back and review your entries for errors etc. Made me miss a couple of entries and I had to amend return. Maybe better next year. I've been using Turbo Tax from the Intuit days and this was harder than the old way. Also should not be a tool for trying to sell you added services.
