TurboTax was good but experience wasn't great

TurboTax. I am furious. The software glitched hard - kept showing health insurance questions even after I marked "yes, someone can claim me." It felt bad, i wasted hours wasted thinking that because glitch kept on showing that i need to fix the health insurance questions, and it felt like i wasted $188 down the drain on fees, and now i am going to be waiting for my return. This is not user error - it's bad code. I shouldn't need a premium support for my crypto, it didn't make sense, two stars because it eventually worked, so explaining that i was good. another thing is the review text box is horrendous, i can't type without erasing what i am typing.
Pros: My employment status changed this year, I bought or sold investments

Used TurboTax for years but will reevaluate in '26

The on-line version was much more difficult to use than the desktop version I have used for years because I need to look at what is happening in the forms and I am not allowed to because you pay at the end rather than at the beginning. In addition, the online version did not do as nice of a job walking you through the process. I will be considering a different product for 2026 and actually used a different one for another return this year.
