I have used TurboTax for many years and had more trouble with this version than in all the years combined. It had errors which made me go back over things several times. It made me repeat many steps. It was very frustrating. It even said I tried but didn’t successfully use TurboTax last year. I did use it successfully!

I just spent over 12 hours battling the TurboTax online experience, and I will never use this service again.
As a nurse in California, trying to apply standard state nursing allowances was nearly impossible without an outside guide. Instead of being helpful, the built-in AI constantly flagged "mistakes" that it refused to fix, creating a loop of frustration.
It felt like the system was designed to sense when I was struggling just to trigger aggressive pop-up ads for their "in-house experts." It is predatory to gate-keep basic functionality behind a paywall of upsells when the software you already paid for fails to work.
If you have a professional license or specific state deductions, save your time and your sanity—use a different service. TurboTax is no longer a tool for the taxpayer; it’s an upsell engine.

Disjointed and confusing process

Process this year was very disjointed and confusing. I often had to enter the same information 2-3 times before the system went to the next section. The process did not follow a logical path but seemed to jump randomly around. In all the years I have used Turbo Tax this was the worse experience.
