The online filing of tax returns for both federal and state using TurboTax is convenient. Every year the tough issue is to wait for the tax forms from the financial institutions/banks/brokers. Once the tax forms are ready, it is easier to file. This year, I also want to say thanks to the customer service representatives for their understanding and help. I surely will continue to use the online tool from this company.

Turbotax interface used to be so user friendly and it was logical. New online interface is tedious and not as user friendly. It took long time to ge used to it.

Doesn't do taxes with foreign income well.

TurboTax, while very helpful, continues to not be able to adapt to foreign earned income situations. Whenever you do the review to "fix" a problem, it gives you no context and doesn't re-direct you to a section as would be helpful. Also, it pushes its recommendations on you. Finally, the AI with this review is cumbersome and annoying.

Good overall, but misleading at payment

TurboTax was easy and convenient to use, and the overall experience was good.
The problem came at the final payment step. It automatically put me into the version with Expert Assist, which I did not need, and it cost about $100 more. I did not realize this was the default option.
I had to figure out by myself that I could downgrade, and then find how to switch to the version without assistance. That part felt misleading and somewhat like spam.
TurboTax should make the price options much clearer and should not default users into a more expensive version.

DID NOT LIKE 2025 On-Line & its FORCED upgrade

DID NOT LIKE on-line version Found it MUCH less useable than previous desktop versions (been a user for 20 years) DID NOT LIKE that Deluxe version no longer handles my investment issues - INTUIT forced me to update to Premier by downgrading Deluxe abilities. DID NOT LIKE that on-line version appears not to provide the overviews (the Fed & state 1st page summaries, the 2 year comparisons, and the tax history report) of the previous Deluxe desktop versions
