turbo tax is great

Turbotax is a scam

Turbotax is a scam and lobbies to deliberately make taxes difficult so Intuit can keep skimming tax returns for profit. I wish this tool would cease to exist since the government knows how much I owe them and should be able to just tell me that.

I found that Turbo Tax is becoming more complexed

I found that it was a lot harder to navigate and find all the little next buttons. Pulling up older TurboTax filings and transferring them to a USB or another laptop was really difficult. File save and to were.

CHAT support saved the day!!

I had a problem with the addition of information after I had my filing rejected. I was able to CHAT my way thru it by allowing an associate with TT guide me thru the process. Im a 75 year old senior and needed a little assistance.
Pros: My employment status changed this year, I bought or sold investments, I had a baby

It's getting worse I think

Honestly it seems to get stuck in weird loops more frequently than in past years. It also doesn't automatically ask me about important things like estimated tax payments. And it pushed me to get expert help version when starting, so I had to restart at the end to the product I actually wanted. I'll probably look for something else next year.

Hard to find how to enter estimated taxes paid HI

It was a royal pain in the butt to FIND how to enter the Hawaii State estimated tax I paid for 2025. ALSO, I was unable to delete a non-existent property I added by mistake (because of so many prompts to add information on a rental property I have). Finally, I found a way to remove it from the federal form but NOT from the Hawaii form.
