Turbotax is great but...

I am generally satisfied with turbo tax. This year I was getting frustrated with duplicate form checks being repeated over and over for every import I did. Other than that I am satisfied with product.

Considering switching to different Tax Prep prog

We have been loyal users for decades. The current version is confusing. Too many upsell messages with unclear ways of opting out. Price changed within a matter of hours on the same day.

Worse each year

Turbo tax does make filing pretty simple and I appreciate that. However, the experience seems to get worse and worse each year. Why do you have to pay extra to have the turbo tax fee taken out of your tax return instead of paying by credit card? If it is necessary, why can't they make it clear that they will charge you if you select that as an option?

TurboTax doesn't help with Trusts

Everything was easy except filing a K-1 for a Trust. The instructions were unclear and it accepted erroneous input that wasn't caught until later in the process. This was a significant tax impact (positive), so I wished that TurboTax would have made it easier. I had to use Google Gemini to get better advice.

I liked Turbotax and will use it again

I used turbotax before so it was easy to transfer info to the current year. I needed live support for one item: where to include my mailed in estimated tax payments. They solved it for me.
