the online version was terrible

This is the worst experience I have ever had over the last >10 years filing with turbo tax. the switch to online version was only provided after I logged onto the account with the downloadable version. it couldn't link to my previous files although it already used my last year's filing at the beginning!----created unnecessary frustration and waste of time.

Lacking simple logic to flow info through return

Intuit has had so many years to make the software work properly but items such as foreign dividend income/expenses don't automatically flow through all the relevant forms and I have to manually input the locations of where numbers are on the tax return. Additionally we couldn't claim excess social security contributions from our employer without having to file a form 843 outside of turbo tax. Can't directly edit the forms to input this info even though Turbotax correctly identified too much was withheld. Frustrating experience.
