Excessive Filing Fees

Turbo tax allows for you to file for smooth experience but so does its competitors. I understand that filing additional forms outside of a W2 increases your fees however their fees keeps increasing and are getting out of hand. I will consider giving FreeTaxUSA their charges are far more reasonable.

Terrible new format

This new format stinks. Cannot view view my tax forms till the very end.
In order to send my taxes i had to say I did not use tubro tax last year. I have been using turbo tax for the 15 years.

It took me a minute to understand how to do some things, but overall, it really is very easy and accurate to use. I like how it will give you the opportunity to check your input before moving to h next task.

I appreciate the clarification by the tax pro. It was really helpful since this is the first time I have ever done my own taxes.
Pros: My employment status changed this year, I moved, I bought or sold investments

Great for Federal, but issues with State selection

TurboTax was least usable ever

Last Fall, I subscribed an Advantage Delux package. It was unusable, unopenable - completely useless. I used a "complete it myself", online version and paid more for it than the Delux software that I have used for. many years. I am counting on TurboTax to honor the commitments made to me for a refund and free software next year, all as promised by the agent who helped me. The agent was very patient & helpful, to the extent that the system allowed.
