Not so awesome but still good

This year seemed to be cumbersome and you seem to have gone out of your way to make it more difficult by adding too many screens that were not necessary. Also, you are making it more difficult to input information if I want to type it by myself. I had to go through every screen each time I added a different interest or dividend item. I had to indicate every time if it was interest or dividend instead of just asking to add more interest or dividend. Also stop trying to push your add on so many times.

Tax laws suck this year.

Do it yourself, No Problem

For years we have struggled to find a tax preparer that would take the time to ask all of the relevant questions and find tax breaks. I felt like we didn't know what we didn't know and could possibly not provide information because we weren't asked. We even hired a CPA one year and it was a disaster. Turbo Tax will ask you all of the questions to get your best return and ensure you're filing it legally. We have a rental property, pension payments and stock bonus plans that can be very confusing. But, we have used Turbo Tax for two years now and I feel confident it was done correctly. Also, companies charge for every form used and the price can add up to over $500. We were able to get federal and tax submitted for under $200. Could spend more $ to get more help and it would still be worth it. Will use it again next year for our 2026 tax return for sure.

Disappointed

After over 25 years of using turbo tax, being forced to fill out the returns online due to TTs failure to support Micro Soft 10 operating system was not only a disappointment, it cost me almost $100 more to fill out online, it took much longer, and was not as clear cut as the downloaded versions of past. Short of having to buy a new laptop, next year, I will need to shop around for other ways to file my taxes before going to TurboTax.

Turbo tax is expennsive

Getting very expensive and complicated and I feel that is has become this way over the years will seriously need to cnsider if I will use them nextyear

Personal Income Tax Filing Made Simple

My spouse and me have a semi-complex personal income tax filing. I have used Turbo Tax for 5+ years, and each year the program and experience improve. I recommend Turbo Tax for simple or complex personal income tax filing.
Pros: My employment status changed this year, I bought or sold investments
