TurboTax - the best but still room for improvement

While TurboTax makes tax preparation easy and it seems to be very thorough with identifying tax breaks, it is a bit frustrating to walk through all the questions for itemizing and take a significant amount of time to gather the information only to be told the standard deduction is far greater than if you itemize. I could have been done SO much quicker if all I had to do was enter a total for my medical expenses to see if it made sense to itemize. T software makes you separate these expenses into different categories that was very time consuming.
Also, the checkout and finalization process could be streamlined. Like I'm done and ready to file yet the process takes too much time for what it is.
Other than these two gripes, TurboTax is efficient and well organized. Each year it seems to be more streamlined.

Online getting better, but I ran into a dumb bug

I loved the import feature of my investment documents, and it was pretty simple to go through everything. What I HATED was getting stuck on the "Fix Error" screen to update something on my Return Worksheet. It kept taking me back to the fix error screen every time I clicked on "FIX". This also prevented me from E-Filing. This is a dumb bug!! I'm also not paying to ask an expert. Good thing someone on the community figured it out after they wasted a good chunk of time trying to fix it.

Good but Frustrating

This version was frustrating to use (compared to version purchased in previous years). Although at start of the process it transferred data from prior Turbo Tax years (I used Turbo Tax for at least the last seven years), when it came time to e-file, it said I had not used Turbo Tax to file last return. That makes no sense to me. That made me track down prior filing. Second, I got caught in a perpetual loop in which, when I declined to have the Identity Protection, I had to re-enter (or at least go through) e-filing data. This happened three times. Only by signing out, and then reentering the data a fourth time, did the program go beyond the loop. The Help tab did not provide much help or explanation in that situation. Third, It is all e-file, or all mail--there is no ability (as far as I could see) to have some returns mailed in (like PA, which requires certain info to be included with the return, like a list of all trades generating LT and ST gains) and some e-filed. Turbo Tax does a good job, but this year was much more frustrating than years past--I suspect it was the rigidity of this on-line version that was the problem.
