Quitting Turbo Tax

Ive been using this program for years. This year it's all changes, got my husband's information wrong, mixed up names on income and was not helpful with deductions and steps. Over it.

Use other software - avoid the constant up-sell

I have used Turbo Tax for years, but I think I might be done. While the process is relatively straight forward, you are constantly being up-sold to buy additional products and services or advice. It feels like your fighting off a used car salesman. This year Intuit has also ceased operation of the ItsDeductable software, and come to find out, you are unable to import tax data from in the online version from other competing software. The whole thing just feels like a mess and time to investigate alternatives.

Turbotax was giving me errors after I fixed the items. Called in and was guided to repeat what I had tried, worked on one error but other error kept showing up. was asked to shut down my system and restart - then it worked. A major hassle and many hours wasted!

Great tool

Convenient and efficient as always. Love that it takes into account all new tax laws and I don’t have to research or hope my personal tax accountant knows everything. App and website are easy use. And I like how info carries over year to year.
