Turbo Tax Premier (in 20 years) is disappointing

I'm not impressed with the on-line version. I would much rather prefer to have a CD to download the tax preparation, obtain updates on-line, file on-line, and have the freedom of knowing my information is on my PC and not being gathered by InTuit Turbo Tax.
The biggest negative, was all the ads trying to get me to buy services I didn't need and having no way to close those screens in my tax return. Very disappointed Turbo Tax was also trying to get me to purchase a "5 day earlier" tax rebate. You have to read and agree to processing forms and one of them explained you could file and have your rebate directly deposited into your bank account by IRS for free. You have to "back" out in order to finally get to the screen that allows you to do that.
I didn't appreciate almost completing my tax return when there was an update. After the update, my previous return was gone and I had to start all over. At least when I had the CD, that information was always on my PC and I could always recover my tax return. Please next year, ALWAYS, allow that option. This year's cost for your product should have easily allowed this. Don't fix what ain't broke. Lower the cost of your product, please.
I did enjoy the prompts because they saved me a lot of time. I also appreciated the information advising what the standard deduction was before starting itemized deductions. This year I realized itemizing was not close to what the standard deduction dollar amount for this year.

Easy to navigate

Easy to navigate. Been doing it fr years. Insane to charge to put it in your bank account and another 40 for something else especially when its giving you your own money . Definitely clearly working their way up to be as high as the storefront competition.
