Love Turbo Tax!

It's easy to use, quick to get your taxes done, walks you through everything that you may qualify for, and has all of the updated tax laws.

Watch out for the Package gotcha.

Overall it was an ok experience. however, the initial lack of picking between products being mid grade with no other obvious option irritated me, and there was no obvious way to back up an change the selection. once i was finished i had to google a solution and reset everything to start over in order to pick a different package. also, the constant check to see if I want to upgrade was annoying.

TT is my fave tax software

I much prefer the desktop version to the online version. I like seeing the forms as I go and the rework steps seem easier. I was able to get my returns e-filed easily. In short, I will likely go back to the desktop version, but I still prefer using TT rather than all the other software and store options.

Further transparency needed.

TurboTax often presents questions and legal agreements without sufficient context, making it difficult to understand their purpose or impact. I repeatedly had to download long legal documents and seek external explanations (ChatGPT) just to make informed decisions, which slowed down what is supposed to be a streamlined process. Providing clear, plain-language summaries before forms and agreements — with links to full legal documentation — would greatly improve usability, efficiency, and trust.
