Highly recommend. An idiot can do this. You can go through the motions before paying the fee. If it's over your head, go to Plan B.

I always file on my own using turbo tax, it helps me be as accurate as possible. The fees are a bit much but the software is helpful.

My imagination or has TurboTax changed?

I have been a die-hard fan and customer of TurboTax for many years. I have always found it to be very intuitive and thus easy to understand and use. However, that's not the case this year. The way requests for certain data fields were made was more than a little confusing at times. I am neither an accountant nor CPA, although I wish I were, as the process would have progressed more smoothly and faster with a higher degree of confidence in my answers. Will I continue to use TurboTab? Yes. I'm in my 70's, and old habits die hard.
