I like Turbo Tax

Turbotax needs work!

I have spent hours on a very simple return with standard deductions because of the errors in your program. I have used TurboTax for years but I think this will be my last year. I am educated and worked as an accountant for 30 years and this was ridiculous and nerve racking

Misleading info

It said I had to upgrade to Turbotax Premium for $139. I did. then it went to $206 at checkout. I called 800 number and rep reduced me to $164. Misleading info ! not very happy

VERY DISAPPOINTED...to the point of anger.

We were happy enough with TurboTax in the past. This year (for 2024 tax return) was the worst: (1) It incorrectly transferred information from our 2023 return information from their system, including adding a letter to my first name, putting my spouses first and last names in opposite order while changing her middle initial to my middle initial. (2) It asked us to verify figures our 2023 return (i.e., taxable income, etc.), which you would think it could verify itself since we filed through TurboTax last year. (3) We had to search the return to find some of those figures it asked us to verify. Why didn't it at least indicate WHERE on the return those specific items could be found rather me having to search for them not knowing where they'd be? (4) Well into preparing our return, it said "You changed your address information since last year, did you move for work?" Our address is the same, but given the errors in our names that I wouldn't have caught had I trusted the system, I went back (again) to check that our address info was correct still correct. (5) CONSTANTLY trying to trick us into signing up for service that we DECLINED multiple times. (6) Nearly TRICKING us into an add-on for Identity protection that we couldn't figure out how it was added (I almost didn't catch it), and then removing it at least 3 times without being able to figure out how/why it kept getting added again, only to discover they don't overtly tell you that if you select to pay their fees directly from your return, it automatically adds $44 for ID protection, and they don't directly say that they're asking you to sign and consent to it, so you think you're signing for the returns. WOW. I am extremely disappointed.
