Still doesn't handle foreign tax credit properly (known issue, google it). it prompts you to enter all the foreign countries and then only allows you to assign an income to the first one. you're forced to go back and incorrectly change the itemized countries to "various" to proceed. Also, at the end you need to assign forms and line numbers and amounts to various entries. I think the only way to do this properly is to print the preliminary return and get the values from there, but it won't let you (or it's too cryptic for me to figure out how). Should be better, but if you don't have any foreign assets then it probably won't affect you.

Turbotax has been the best tool for filing our taxes since 2017. We have self-employed income and w-2 income that we file every year. They walk us through each step and even tells when something doesn't look right on paper so it can ne fixed before the IRS receives it.
