I've been using TurboTax for at least 20 years. It continues to be a very easy tool for getting the job done right the first time. I appreciate the peace of mind from having audit support if it ever comes to that.

Turbo is the best way

Further transparency needed.

TurboTax often presents questions and legal agreements without sufficient context, making it difficult to understand their purpose or impact. I repeatedly had to download long legal documents and seek external explanations (ChatGPT) just to make informed decisions, which slowed down what is supposed to be a streamlined process. Providing clear, plain-language summaries before forms and agreements — with links to full legal documentation — would greatly improve usability, efficiency, and trust.

TT is my fave tax software

I much prefer the desktop version to the online version. I like seeing the forms as I go and the rework steps seem easier. I was able to get my returns e-filed easily. In short, I will likely go back to the desktop version, but I still prefer using TT rather than all the other software and store options.
