IP PIN REQUIRED by IRS, not TurboTax

Terrible. Tax returns REQUIRE an IP PIN. There is no error message on Turbo Tax that this is missing. It kept checking our returns claiming that all "looks good". But we filed and the returns were rejected for missing IP PIN. I went back to fix the error and Turbo Tax kept claiming, "looks good" and wanting to refile. Getting the IP PIN from IRS was another series of hoops that took over 5 days to get. Then I went to plug it back into the returns, the "Help" in the right margin was not directing me to the right place to plug in the IP PIN. Nowhere under personal information did it call for this PIN number or I would have requested mine weeks ago when we started our returns. Upon getting a rejected return I scoured the forms back and forth for a day, and Turbo tax kept showing "looks good". Miraculously and obscurely I found somewhere that said this was under "other tax circumstances" tab and is not one of the fields that turbo tax checks for compliance with your return. How is this an OTHER??? This is a REQUIRED field and should be at the beginning of the return as part of biographical information. It's not an other situation. Very frustrating and ridiculous that it took so many days to figure out. This makes doing your own taxes a huge headache and I AM TECH savy, imagine someone who can't navigate forms easily. Completely ridiculous. Good thing they aren't charging us a tax penalty because there's a 5 day window to fix the returns once transmitted.

affordable and streamlined even at the premium plans. Didn't need help from an advisor once it was so simple. took one star off for a few software issues that required me to repeat parts of the form

They charged me twice and I better get that back and really they didn't help with jack, they had a zero balance and I was able to get it up to a decent return amount..

Not so Happy!

This time around I have to say I did not enjoy the program nor any of the answers to my questions that didn't answer my questions AND it was way too expensive. Upsetting and tiring! You are aware the economy is terrible - don't continue to rip people off that have no money to give
