A Little Less Helpful than Prior Years...

I feel like last year, the least expensive TurboTax product, which is what I used, offered way more self-help in the way of little info buttons I could click on and read to determine what a form was asking me for. This year I selected the same base level product, and although I was able to complete the forms on my own, they took me twice as long and every time I ran into a question I had to resort to Google and reviewing last year's forms to understand what was being asked of me. Turbotax was my go-to product for inexpensively doing my taxes online, but it's starting to feel like I have to pay more and more to do my own taxes here.

Dupped into the premium option somehow

Somehow ended up on premium version, never have used that before. Could not go back and change it as I had gone through the whole process already and I just needed to be done! Cost me a ton of money I didn't need to spend.

Turbo tax is scam software

Making me pay 139 dollars just to file a schedule e for making ten dollars in sales is ridiculous. Especially considering al you do is port the document from my stocks app to your app. The only reason I used this again this year is because I was able to get my w2 from a previous job imported here. Will no longer used after this filing.
Pros: My employment status changed this year, I bought or sold investments

We have a homebased business as well as multiple W2s. Turbotax helps take the anxiety out of filing and being sure I have all the information needed and in the event , God forbid, there are any issues they will support/defend 100%

Too expensive for $5 sold in stocks to upgrade $139. This is the last time I use turbotax!
