Turbo Tax: The most evil/predatory business model

Horrible. Uses bait and switch tactics to con you. Doesnt tell you til the end they charge an extra $100+ in fees, only after you spent an hour working on your return. So whatever price they claim they charge, add about an extra 100-200 dollars to that to get an idea of what you’ll actually pay. This company is everything that’s wrong with corporate America. This is my first ever review of anything… just had to give the feedback they deserve. This should be illegal. They’re even asking me for personal info to allow me to post this review…. Bet I’ll get to the end and there will be a fee.

Too much upselling

Doing taxes is bad enough, but fighting through this many pages trying to upsell you on services is horrible. Just let me overpay to do my taxes and leave me alone.

had some issues

had some issues - I don't think it's calculating depreciation correctly (compared to previous software and careful reading of the actual forms), and also, issues having the emile get rejected MULTIPLE TIMES even after carefully checking for errors. on the plus side, it had complete calculations for a weird box on a form that another leading software program couldn't deal with (hence why I had to use turbotax this year and not the other program).
