Several fields on the 1099 form that kept asking the same questions but provided little to none information. Kept asking for dates and costs basis for a single stock but asked like 6 times. Each time took 30 seconds for the form to finish loading.

Capital Gains - Confusion

do a better job with detailing capital gains expense exclusions. I had investment property I sold and paid annual taxes on it for several years and I was told to include that in sch A with itemizations...thought sch A was for personal itemizations not long-term investment expenses. Anyway - I wasn't able to include a $1k of expenses to maintain that investment.
