Solid Interface and Product

Very logical, with a sequence of effective menus that reduced complex steps into manageable parts. The flow was smooth and useful, and assisted in making relevant decisions that would have otherwise been difficult and challenging. I progressed rapidly through and got to an acceptable and useful result.

I've been using turbo tax for a few years now and I absolutely love it! They give me the confidence to know I'm filing correctly. Will be using them again next year!!

Last Year of TurboTax

The software is confusing and the integrations to pull in documents are sloppy, pulling in duplicate files. As someone that isn’t a tax aficionado and has used TurboTax to file for the last 10 years - I think they could benefit from creating a more intuitive UI.
I spent 2 hours on the phone with support to be able to access my 2023 info because (unbeknownst to me) I did not file my 2023 taxes, yet I was charged for the software and was only sent a single email that I had to complete final verification/submission.
Obviously, that is partially on me for not triple checking. However, Intuit/TurboTax clearly has the tech to know I had completed the entire thing and hadn’t submitted, yet only sent 1 email over the course of a week? That’s just insane to me.
However, I will say that the service rep that I spent my Sunday with was great and very helpful. However, it shouldn’t take 2 hours to pull a relatively simple doc (that I already paid for).

Turbo Tax seems to be going through changes

didn't use an experrt. have been using TT for many years - typically bought in the store and downloaded by entering the code. I liked that appearance and ease of use. This year - the format seemed different and not as easy to open forms, etc. Last year (2023 filing) for some unknown reason my first time submitting e-file didn't work. I decided to try again the next day (I kept notes) and it went through. When I hit efile for 2024 it said I didn't complete my e-filing last year. The only way I could get it to work is say I used another program and then was able verify with our drivers licenses and AGI, etc.

Not as good as it used to be

I feel the flow and information asked is not as good as it used to be and you have gotten too expensive
