The online version costs more and has less options from the desktop version. Every few sections they try and sell you products and when you say “no” they ask if you are sure. With the desktop version you can file up to 4 federal returns, with the online version they charge per return. And you cannot add the desktop version to a tablet. In addition, while they are happy to have you file and pay them $150 to file return for someone has passed away, they wait until after you pay to say that you cannot file the return electronically. You also can’t view your progress on the forms to compare with previous years until after you pay them and are ready to file.

I think your automated assistant cannot handle some of the questions. Depreciation questions on vehicles is just one issue that I ran into.

Easy to use! First time to need to file a Schedule C. Turbo Tax was able to walk me through it and answer any of my questions.
