Turbo Tax was highly unsatisfactory.

I have used Turbo Tax many years and this year was terrible. I repeatedly received a message that said there was a snag and then I would have to retry. It would take me back to the beginning of whatever section I was in and I would have to reenter everything. At the end durinig the review process I never could get through the entire review. It took me back to the beginning at least 6 times. The service this year was highly unsatisfactory.

Turbo tax has it figured out anytime I had a question they had it covered in their "FAQ" at bottom of each page. I never felt overwhelmed I would absolutely recommend to anyone who is new to filing their taxes or anybody for that matter.

i would like more free tools when it comes to 1099 forms. i had to do a google search to find a way to manipulate system.

UI and free filing eligibility concerns

The fact that I am completely barred from making changes to my forms until you guys decide it's necessary and sometimes even THEN don't let me change them is stupid. I understand you make your money confusing people so they have to call your experts but it's evil and your user interface is extremely inaccessible. some of us literally don't have the option to mail in returns and the fact that you try to make me spend excessive amounts of money to file my taxes that I already can't afford to pay JUST because I also have a 1099 and not just a w-2 is ridiculous. I am a full time college student receiving no financial aid from my parents with $30 to my name. This service is overpriced, the parameters are extremely unfair, and your website isn't even easy to use. If I get any response to this complaint I would like an actual explanation for why filing a 1099 instead of a w-2 means I have to pay $140 instead of nothing.
