I love Turbo Tax!!! Its so easy and walks me through each step. I had trouble with getting someone to set up and keeping an appointment and helping me in full service, so I ended up just doing my taxes myself. I will always use Turbo Tax though!!! Thank you so much!!!!!

TurboTax is good. BUT you need to make it easier to file a NON-RESIDENT California state return (or any state for that matter). Complicating matters was that I am working in a foreign country not another US state. The instructions on what steps or process to take to have the CA Form 540 NR be used are not clear. There needs to be better drop downs, better questions from TurboTax about your residency, etc. while initially filling in your personal/tax information. I poked around and changed things for an hour to finally get the NR tax return to populate.

Upsold again and again.

Confusing at times with the interface, along with being upsold over and over and over again for more services... left me filing for several hundred dollars. I will use an accountant next year.

We have been using TurboTax for many years. This year some things are different, but yes, I did it and everything was fast and easy. I don't know why you says "free file" it is not free, but still, I am using and no complain about the results.
