Rip off

One star is generous. Worse experience of my life. I'm legally blind. Disabled. I domt work. I don't get a return. I get a 120 dollar grocery credit. And they want me to pay 175 ro file. I lose 55. Way to rip me off. Thanks

Not sure if it's worth it

The extra amount of money that I had to pay for TurboTax premium was more than the money I made from my small investment that I made last year. I'm not sure if I should stop using TurboTax or if I should close my small investment account.

TurboTax Review – Great, But Could Explain Things

I used TurboTax Self-Employed this year and overall, it was a great experience. It made filing my taxes super easy, especially with all my business expenses. It walks you through step by step, asks you questions, and does all the math for you. It even helped me find extra deductions I didn't know I could claim.
But here’s the thing...
Some of the wording and questions felt a little too fancy or technical—especially if you’re not a “tax person.” I wish they explained things in plain English a bit more. Like, sometimes I wasn’t sure if I was clicking the right thing because I didn’t understand what it was asking.

They could really improve it by adding simple examples or "what this means" tooltips for each question. Even just a button that says, “Explain it like I’m 5” would be amazing 😂
That said, it’s still one of the easiest and most powerful ways to file taxes, especially if you're self-employed like me. Just keep Google handy for a few of the trickier parts.
4.5 out of 5 stars. Would definitely use again. Just wish it talked to me like a real person.

Greedy

This gets the job done, but you are clearly very greedy. How many times do I have to say I’m not getting the more expensive package? I think responding once is enough and it feels really out of touch to keep asking for more money while knowing I’m staring down the barrel of my tax bill.
