The program has gotten as high as taking it to a CPA. Was much more economical compared to other companies, but it isn't as good now.

Annoying UX

It took us 7+ hours to complete our taxes. The RSUs we sold didn't import completely properly so that took time to go through and update & find the incorrect rows. The UX for that does not make it easy and it's very time consuming. When we got to the state taxes there was no option to upload or pull in the same RSU data from Federal to the State so those had to be manually entered. It wasn't until the end review that the State taxes were flagged because we missed 2 fields on the RSU data which should've been marked mandatory from the beginning if they were required so we had to go through all the lines AGAIN which means clicking each one open, edit & saving, onto the next. My W2 kept flagging saying there was an issue to review but there was no issue and we would have to constantly go back to "review" it so that the error would clear. Taxes are frustrating to begin with and this experience was a headache. If we sell stock again this year we will likely go to an accountant to handle it.

My taxes are simple and it takes hours to try to navigate to make sure a deduction I use every year gets included! And always with the upselling!!! I can't say no enough; it doubles the time to process a basic return
