Beware of many sneaky attempts to upsell you!

Many sneaky attempts to upsell, even after selecting the "premium" option and paying the additional fee to do so. Specifically, beware of an additional $44 "premium tools" fee when you choose to pay with your return (which is more convenient then getting out your credit card and paying that way!) I only noticed this when there was an additional consent form to share my return with CSI for theft monitoring services, a company that has a bad history as well.
Every year I feel like I waste more time fighting Intuit's attempts to upsell me in this way, and others, and this is disappointing as I've been a customer for a few years now.
The tax preparation aspect of the software works fine, I'd use an alternative if there was one that worked as well and as easily.

Everything is well explained and simple to go through EXCEPT the self-employment section. There should be a choice on the very first self-employment section to go to the 1099-NEC form instead of having me fill out all the information as if I own the company. It's very confusing!
