How/why did Turbotax make an okay product worse?

Way too complicated -- The question and answers dealing with a pension should have been easier to interpret as were a number of other items. For some reason, it was harder this year (2024 tax year) to navigate between your UI inputs for Federal and NY State too. The decisions on what to break out, how to edit info, what to leverage contentwise from the previous year, etc. were all made considerably worse. It is clear you want people to use your MAX service -- which is we don't need -- and kept getting guided back to it.

Several glitches in software but impossible to talk to a person unless you want to pay for live tax advice. In several instances what the AI help told me to do wasn't possible. It referred me to certain things that weren't available on my screen.
