They make you pay for their own glitches

Hate how it assumes you want the same package you wanted last year, and you have to work hard not to be upgraded to something more expensive without noticing. Tires of the fact that TurboTax and H&R Block have been lobbying for years to keep taxes complicated to ensure they remain in business. Yes it gets the job done, but I shouldn’t have to pay to do my taxes. I got stuck this year in a doom loop when it told me I was not eligible for a tuition write off but still needed the info in there to not get taxed on our 529. Round and round it wouldn’t let me move forward until I deleted the info. Only way to get help was to pay them more to get around their own glitch. It’s a scam.

I AM a TurboTax Live Expert (sboddie). I've been using TT and it's predecessor since 1988; began working with Intuit for Tax Season 2023. There are issues - on both sides of the desk.

Yes ok it was great, but a few stuff were confusing, like for instance I had a 1040-NR form for last year and not 1040 form
