Comprehensive product but I can't stand the constant up-sell. Every 3 screens it want to sell me another product.

Tricky legal language from Intuit

The system is easy to use. However, the most difficult part is trying to read the legal language around Intuit trying to trick me into allowing their 3 part companies to have access to my tax information. This causes me to not want to ever use their system again after utilizing it for the past 10+ years.

Easy to use - been using it for years and love that it just imports last year's info, but this year they added the "Live" feature and did their best to trick you into using it. Once you accidently go down that path you have to delete everything you've done and start over. It's way too easy to wind up on that path and way too hard to get off it. Shame on you. It add significant expense to something many of us don't need.
Pros: My employment status changed this year, I bought or sold investments

Turbo Tax too expensive for simple tax form

Turbo Tax is too expensive for a simple tax form. My dad set up an investment account for me when I was 2. It only has a few thousand dollars in it, and only takes a few seconds to transfer into turbotax, but because I have the account I have to use premium. I'm a student whose federal tax refund was cut by more than half because of a simple transfer of information from my investment account. That money would sure go a long way toward books........if I had been able to keep it.
