TurboTax sucks

Stupid errors that continue after populating W-2 that won't resolve. Still somehow ended up owing almost $700 to the state even though all my information was correct and nothing changed since the year before. It now costs almost $200 to file with no tax help or upgrades which is ridiculous. I'd rather pay a human being at this point because its less work for me and they will actually get it right instead of prompting me repeatedly with errors because TurboTax can't correctly fill in boxes from a W2.

Flaky at times

It does the job for the most part. Sometimes makes no sense. For some reason it keeps asking me about business income. Ive never owned a business. I also use it to do my mom’s taxes and for some reason her Turbo tax charges are double mine. She’s a retired, senior living on pension and social security. Makes no sense for her tax preparation to cost more than mine.
