Great product, petty tricks

I've been using TurboTax since 2015. The product is good, the flow and interface has improved over the years. I think it's a good product. I would give it five stars BUT... the price hikes are getting unreasonable. I think when I started it cost maybe $30. Now it's $130 for the most basic version. Also, I really don't appreciate all the little ways Intuit is trying to eke more money out of me via little tricks. Examples: multiple screens trying to get me to upgrade to the MAX version, charging me extra money to use my return to pay their fee, and the last page that tries to sneak me into using a 5-day early return (essentially a loan) for another mere $35. It's not the paid options that bother me, it's the sneaky way the screens are set up which make it difficult and tricky to even notice there is a no-fee option. Come on, Intuit. Let your product and services sell themselves. I'll happily pay for things that are worth it. Stop trying to dupe me into paying you because it's too hard to figure out I have an option.

I have been using TurboTax for at least the last 10+ years. It is user-friendly and I highly recommend it to everyone who will listen. If you haven't tried it, give it a shot and I promise you won't be disappointed.
Pros: My employment status changed this year, I bought or sold investments
