The complexity of the US tax guidelines, rules and requirements are immense. Intuit TurboTax absorbs all of that detail and complexity for you by having you answer some questions. For the price, that is an excellent value compared to having to keep up with and understand all of the complex and intricate details of filing your taxes manually or paying a tax preparation service.

Asked a question about how to delete a 1099-MISC form. It said to "go to the 1099-MISC summary page..." so I spent 5 min looking for that before I then asked "how do I find the 1099-MISC summary page?" And got the response "the 1099-MISC does not have a dedicated summary page..." beyond infuriating.....
