Easy filing process personal bank info compromised

The process to file your taxes yourself is fairly simple. They make the process pretty streamline and i appreciate that. However, they are very sneaky when it comes to sharing your personal information with other companies and accessing your bank account information. Shortly after i field my taxes last year, i started receiving email updates from Intuit about my personal bank account activity. They were able to access my personal bank account and see what money was going in and out and I would not knowingly agreed to something so personal. The verbiage they use is deceiving and needs to be more transparent about what options are being selected. Be wary.

It is NOT free!!

I have been using Turbo Tax for years now and always had a wonderful experience. it walks you through the process easily and has been in an okay price range. It is was changed this year (2025, for 2024 filing season) to have additional charges, direct deposit last year was free and took 5-10 business days now it is free for direct deposit but for 21 days and you can pay $25 if you want it faster you also could use your refund to pay for Turbo tax for free and now it is a $40 charge to use your refund. I had a W-2 and 1099-NEC and had to pay $180 to file!! Fid a way to make it less Turbo tax, please?! It costs that much or less to go to a person, and I enjoy doing it for my family.
