Not worth the money

I’m sure there’s a cheaper experience out there, but due to my current health situation, and the fact that I’m out of state and don’t have access to my paperwork, this was the only option I had. Save yourself some money, and find a cheaper or direct file service. It’s really not worth the money.

Online product navigation is easy, but some of the tax questions regarding regarding retirement distributions are confusing. Price to file increased.

Get an accountant

Turbo Tax personal works for the most part and gets the job done. However, in my efforts to file my small business taxes, one thing led to another with $500 filing fee with Turbo Tax Online, so I tried purchasing business desktop, used that, only to find it didn't have my state, so wasted money there and still have to figure out how to file state of Idaho. All in all, this was my last year using Turbo Tax, I'm getting an accountant for 2025.

Too expensive and they hide their fees until AFTER you have spent an hour down a rabbit hole of tax prep.
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments
