I love TurboTax

I have used TurboTax for years now. I love it because it is easy to upload my information. I also love how they walk you through each step and check in with how you're feeling because it can be such an overwhelming process.

Overall TurboTax has continued to be a stable and simple method of filing taxes. The only difficulty was understanding how to add something unusual, but I figured it out.

Quick, easy and painless, turbo tax does all the work. And they import your w-2 or 1099 so you don't even have to put any information in.

I don't like the trend

I loved your services throughout my adult life, but your site seems to be getting worse and worse each year with how clever your trying to be with promoting Max and other tiers of service. I don't appreciate that each fee is added little by little throughout the user experience and I don't get a wrap up or total until the end when I already signed a consent form (39$ per state, plus 40$ for pay with refund was a surprise). Your team is clearly choosing ambiguous language when describing these fees throughout as well. Using your site used to be much more transparent, but you have abstracted too much away for me to be confident in your service especially as you add AI summaries to your tools.

Ok, pretty expensive for self-preparation.

Everything works good for the self prepared filing without assistance, however the fee is way too high for not having an accountant involved or assistance.
