Online version is good, but WAY TOO EXPENSIVE

The online version is easy to use and works better than the desktop version. Yet the price is WAY too high because online version should be a lot cheaper than desktop version due to the saved distribution cost on INTUIT's end and INTUIT should lower the price of the online version a lot more to promote and attract customers to switch from desktop to online like myself.

No Depreciation Schedules Provided

TurboTax does not provide depreciation worksheets for rental property and depreciable assets, which is a glaring omission. TurboTax has that information because it continues to calculate depreciation based on the information you provided when the asset was first put into service, but it is hidden from view and there's nothing available to print out, either for your own files or, heaven forbid, if you get audited. It's also rather murky when trying to work through the Form 1116. You just have to know the answers or slog through the IRS instructions to figure out if the situation applies to you. Other than that, TurboTax is good for uncomplicated (or mildly complicated) returns.

Not a good sytem

Your system couldn't separate spouses state returns so I paid extra to pay the state tax for my spouse because it combined our incomes. I'm a resident of Texas and stationed in a different state so I don't have a state tax but my wife works in the stationed state that does and she's a resident there. So your system combined out incomes. Your fix was to have me make a second account and to file the state separately. That's not a good fix.

Efficient with some improvements needed

Overall, using turbotax is way easier than doing taxes by hand. However, it was hard to go back to certain sections to edit your answer, it would keep skipping that question if you had filled it out once and the search tool didn't always help us get back to that question. The search tool is extremely helpful for most questions though.
